Horror Trailer part 01

So far in the horror trailer myself, Ian and Rob have created the opening scene in the park with andy and his friends and we have already added Richard to the killing montage. At the moment we have to add more kill/suspense and try to animate Chucky's mouth.

Working with others

The latest task was to write a script and add a complete storyboard to trade with another script.
Me and Richard created a script involving a man/women with a sock as they have schitzophrenia and the sock is played out as another character.
I had to pretend i recieved a phone call from A and E about a car accident involving my parents.
I had to then edit Amanda's and Naomi's attempt on the script me and Richard had worked on during class. Both of us had to edit frame by frame to show a film that matched the storyboard.

Workshop film puzzle day 3

In this lesson we finished a piece of dialogue scene and had to compare it to the original film.
Mine was different fro mthe original because I had some of the scene's in the wrong position.
I made this mistake because when I locked through the film it still made sense leading me to believe i was correct.
We also talked about how the opening sequence was filmed over a period of roughly two to three days in such a short space of time in the film and how this was useful.

workshop film puzzle day 2

I have learnt how to watch the film and work out the correct script on how following or previous scenes match. I have completed parts of the opening scene already

SCENE story board exerciwse

Today in lesson I had to draw a storyboard for a part of a film that was at least 8 shots long.
I had to label the camera angle and if there was a tilt was it left, right or up and was it quick or slow.

Workshop Film Puzzle (DAY 1)

Today I was set a task of editing and regrouping the opening sequence from a film. I had to sort out where shots were set to help along the way such as farm...or campsite. I know that I will have to regroup these over the next few lessons. But I am confident in the naming.

My contribution to pre-production

My contribution to pre-production was helping out with the brainstorming. I suggested some the main ideas of which we used one or two in the actual filming. One of the ideas I suggested was that we use the lift and the stairs in the filming/storyline. The lift was used in most of the scenes and I used the stairs in almost all of my parts.
I did my own part of health and safety as I filled out my own form on the stairwell. I had to check if a tripod was positioned somewhere would it be a minor or a major hazard and where these might occur such as going down or up stairs. My next contribution was the storyboard to which I drew own version of the script to which tried to use basic cartoons and accurate camera angles to show what would happen. I feel i had a lot of contribution towards the shooting schedule as i helped decide what day would suit which lesson and how long we needed for that day.
The last real contribution was Blogger. This helped because it kept me upto date and where I was in the project.
I feel it went well though and that all the writing I did payed off because I think after a while I got used to it and it was clear what I needed to do. One of the things I liked was the storyboard because I like drawing so combining the two really helped. One of my weaknesses was the script. I wasn't here the day it was written so I think that I might have had a go at adding my own bit.
